Senator Patrick Leahy*
"I have known Hannah Sessions since she was nine years old, about 40 years. I have been so impressed by her energy, intelligence, skill and commitment to traditional Vermont values. A successful farmer, cheese maker, business owner and mother, she balanced all with service on local school boards and state land trust and housing organizations. Hannah would be a dedicated public servant who would always put the needs of Vermont first. She would serve the residents of Addison County and adjoining towns with commitment and distinction." (*Note, these are words of support from Senator Leahy, due to his position he does not make formal endorsements.)

Senator Ruth Hardy
"Hannah Sessions is deeply committed to our community and has the experience & compassion necessary to serve the Addison District during these difficult times. As a farmer, small business owner, mother, and community volunteer, Hannah will bring valuable expertise and perspectives to the Vermont Senate. I am thrilled she’s stepped up to run and I look forward to a strong partnership with her as we serve our community together."

Senator Chris Bray
"For more than fifteen years I have watched Hannah Sessions run her farm, grow a family, make art, and contribute to her community and beyond. She is a hard worker. She is smart. She is humble. And she gets things done. When I served in the Vermont Senate, I was often asked if I knew someone who might be a good candidate for this job. I always said, “Yes.” And my answer’s always been the same, “Hannah Sessions.” If you want to be represented by someone is going to actively listen to you, to think carefully and fairly, and then to work for everyone’s well being, vote for Hannah Sessions for Vermont Senate."

Linda Andrews
Former Chair of the Addison County Democratic Committee
"Democrat Hannah Sessions would make an excellent senator from Addison County. She is a native Vermonter, attended local schools, and then went on to major in Political Science at Bates College in Maine. She and her husband know what it is like to be self-employed and to run a successful farm in Vermont. They have run Blue Ledge farm in Leicester for 25 years and have been awarded many national and international prizes for their goat cheese. Two of Hannah’s closest mentors have been her father, Senior US District Court Judge Bill Sessions, and her mother, Abby Sessions, who has been a teacher and former principal of both Cornwall and Salisbury Elementary Schools. I am convinced Hannah Sessions would make an excellent Addison County Senator and will be voting for her in 2026!"

Holly Menguc-Palisson
"When I started my dairy, Tup's Crossing Farm, in 2018, I looked to Hannah as a mentor and she remains a valuable resource for me and for the community of farmers around her. I know Hannah to be a farmer who is pragmatic, honest, thorough, intelligent and compassionate; who pursues solutions that work. We have worked together on several projects, including a multi-year study of extended lactation on our two farms. Hannah is quick to share knowledge, and give time whenever needed. Our work on extended lactations has led to improved financials for both of our operations and an improved quality of life for the farm teams. I am proud to share that Hannah has been invited to speak on our results across New England. With no full time farmers currently in the State Senate, I know that Hannah would bring a valuable and needed perspective. The importance of farmer to farmer dialogue and support can not be underestimated within this industry. We need Hannah's voice in Montpelier."

Former Rep. Dave Sharpe
"Hannah was born and raised in Vermont. She has family roots that go back to a farm in Vermont in 1786 before Vermont was even a state. She has been involved on many boards, including the Addison County Community Trust for Affordable Housing, the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board, the Vermont Land Trust, as well as local and district school boards. She began her involvement with the Democratic Party first as a member of the Leicester Democratic Committee and is a now a State Delegate from Addison County. I am convinced that Hannah Sessions would make a great Addison County Senator and I will be voting for her in 2026!"

John Roberts
Dairy Farmer, Cornwall
"Without reservation, I endorse Hannah Sessions as our next State Senator for Addison County. Hannah is an intelligent, compassionate, sensible, and hard-working individual. I have known Hannah for at least 45 years; she spent a lot of time at our farm in Cornwall with my children. Early exposure to the farming life made Hannah realize the benefits, opportunities and responsibilities that come with that choice but she, along with her husband Greg, has made an incredible success of their dairy goat operation, Blue Ledge Farm, in Leicester. I was one of the founding members of the Champlain Valley Farmer Coalition, and Hannah has been active in that group from its formation. Hannah is aware of the severe challenges that running a successful farm requires. Challenges that include coping with financial decisions, personnel decisions and family decisions, all the while running an operation that is environmentally and animal welfare sound.
Hannah will make a great senator; she listens and understands the challenges that face us all and will bring a diligence and intelligence to providing workable solutions to the issues."
